Already the French philosopher and writer Voltaire knew: “With great power comes great responsibility”. He showed a lot of empathy defending what he thought the best and became an idol for his readers. Although, the modern people, first of all think of abuse when they talk about force. The exhibition at the City Museum illuminates different playgrounds of power, such as church, state and society but also in our private life. It shows diverse positions of aggressors and victims, big-players and followers, peppered with social criticism. Because, no matter how self-determined our lives seem to be, nobody can detract himself completely from the external influence and not always “the feather is mightier than the sword”, but may be a stroke of brush
