"To every age its art. To every art its freedom" was the slogan of the Vienna Secession in 1898. This is a suitable motto for the art of 20th and early 21st century in South Tyrol, Tyrol and Trentino too, which is characterized by polymorphism, rapid sequence of tendencies and multiple personal developments.
The city museum Bruneck/Brunico shows a representative selection from the collection Dr. Josef Kreuzer which comprises about 1.400 pieces of art. The exposed pieces range from Modern Style, Futurism, Kinetism, Expressionism and New Objectivity to Abstraction and the conceptual approaches nowadays.
