At the end of the year 2013 the Museum Association of Bunico/Bruneck shows the interested visitors a wide range of young contemporary art of South Tyrolean and Austrian artists.

The Association has invited artists like Oswald Auer, Isolde Christandl, Werner Moser Dorfmann, Tomas Eller, Siggi Hofer, Irene Hopfgartner, Matthias Lautner, Sissa Micheli, Giovanni Rindler, Esther Stocker, Brigitte Trieb and Linda Wolfsgruber to exhibit a selection of their work at the City Museum of Brunico/Bruneck.

Elmar Peintner is one of the internationally recognized contemporary artists from Tyrol. The numerous invitations to exhibitions inAustria, Europe and overseas, as well as important recognition from international Biennials of Graphic Arts inItaly,Belgium,Poland,Germany,Sweden,Czech Republicand theUSconfirm the rising esteem of the artist.

A VIEW FAR AWAY - Travel routes of artists from Tyrol and Trentino since 1800 until today

This exhibition presents the travel routes of several artists from Tyrol and Trentino and the impressions they gathered during their journeys around the world.

Jürgen Messensee, born in 1936, lives and works in Vienna. He is one of the most renowned contemporary Austrian painters. His work, to a great extent, focuses on the way we perceive the real world. One of his favourite topics is femininity.

STUDENT'S COMPETITION „forms & colors of my world“

Exhibition period: 21th March – 7th April 2013

The students` competition 2012/2013 refers to the great summer-exhibition “Mauro Reggiani form & color”, and presents nearly 1,100 scholar artworks.

In earlier times, it was customary for the proud owner of a book to identify his or her copy with an ex-libris. The term "ex-libris" is Latin and means "from the books." These bookmarks or even book owners’ marks were usually small graphics that were drawn by hand, pasted, or frequently even stamped into the book.
